Marcelo Expósito is an artist and cultural critic. His work has been shown in international exhibitions or institutions such as the Aperto of the Venice Biennale, the Taipei Biennale, Manifesta 8, the Bienalsur in Buenos Aires, the Steirischer Herbst festival in Graz, the Ibero-American Theater Festival (FIT) in Cádiz, the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid or the University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC) in Mexico City.
His work is included in the curator Marco Scotini’s “Disobedience Archive,” 2005-, within the 60th Venice Biennial section “Contemporary Nucleus”. One part of the archive focus on films and videos related to Diaspora activism and another related to gender disobedience. Works by the 39 participating artists were made between 1975 and 2023.
